Born in Canton, Ohio, Sarah Scheiring realized her love for horses at an early age.  Sarah started her riding career when she moved with her family to Pennsylvania.  As a junior, she competed in the Children’s Hunter division at shows throughout the northeast.

At the age of 18, Sarah moved to New Jersey and began her professional career.  After gaining experience showing in the jumper ring and competing in her first grand prix, Sarah spent six months in Germany to further strengthen her knowledge and abilities.  Upon returning to the United States, she joined the team at Windwood Equestrian in Pelham, Alabama, and competed at the three and four-star levels.  Three years later, she moved on to a position at Chester Riding Club in Chester, New Jersey, where she competed in the hunters and jumpers while also training students from the short stirrup ranks all the way up to the grand prix level.

A career highlight came in 2018 when Sarah and her mount, Dontez, qualified to compete in the FEI World Cup™ Final in Paris, France.  After a successful showing in Paris, Sarah joined the team at Missy Clark and John Brennan’s North Run.  In 2022, she struck out on her own and now operates the training and sales business, Bellwyn Farm.

In running her own program at Bellwyn Farm, Sarah emphasizes the importance of correct flatwork, treating the horses like top athletes, prioritizing a healthy feeding program, and keeping the horses mentally happy so they always feel their best.  Sarah currently has a strong and diverse string of horses that she is developing while simultaneously forging her path to the top of the sport.
