Visit the World Equestrian Center (WEC) flagship venue in Wilmington, Ohio, for the Winter in the Midwest horse show series, which offers weekly feature classes including national grand prix show jumping through cross rail divisions. Competition in 2023 starts on January 4 and runs for 14 weeks through April 16.

The series boasts a US Equestrian (USEF) Premier AA/Level 4 Jumper rating every week. With a weekly $30,000 Grand Prix on Saturday evenings, National Hunter Derbies on Fridays, a weekly $3,500 Non-Pro 2’6 Hunter Derby and a $3,500 USHJA Pony Hunter Derby, WEC – Wilmington welcomes riders of all levels and ages.

WEC – Wilmington is pleased to welcome internationally acclaimed course designers to the 2023 Winter in the Midwest series, including Anderson Lima (MEX), Bobby Murphy (USA), Michael Pegg (CAN), Joe Carnicom (USA), Robert Barton (USA), and Scott Alder (USA). An established roster of top-tier judging panels will also be marking the cards at the hunter arenas.

Competition in 2023 will bring a new level of prize money to the hunter ring at each show. Winter Classic 4 on January 4-8 will be a World Champion Hunter Rider (WCHR) week to recognize and celebrate the excellence of hunter athletes.
