The Vermont Summer Festival exhibitor parties combine local cuisine and family-oriented fun for exhibitors of all age. Offering competitors and their families a great way to relax while experiencing the dining and entertainment opportunities available in the Manchester-area, exhibitor parties are an ideal way to start the week.
The Chantecleer Restaurant, located a short drive from the Vermont Summer Festival showgrounds, is a favorite among riders and will host the first exhibitor part of the 2017 season on Wednesday, July 5. Nestled in a remodeled dairy barn, The Chantecleer is chef-owned, serving elegant and creative cuisine with a European flare and a focus on fresh seafood.
While ski season may be over, Vermont still has an abundance of outdoor activities to offer adventure-seekers. The Mountain Adventure Park at Bromley Mountain Resort will welcome equestrians on two evenings during the Vermont Summer Festival, Wednesday, July 12, and Wednesday, August 2. Bromley Mountain attractions include the iconic Alpine Slide and Sun Mountain Flyer zipline rides, while everyone is treated to an outdoor barbeque.
“The uniqueness of our adventure park is something that really has to be experienced at least once in a lifetime,” said Michael Van Eyck, Assistant General Manager at Bromley Mountain Resort. “Having been in the horse business for many years myself, I know that there are limits on extracurricular activities when competing at a horse show, but the Vermont Summer Festival exposes their competitors to all that Dorset, Manchester, and the mountain communities have to offer.
“We all benefit from having the horse show in our backyard,” continued Van Eyck. “Our exhibitor parties are an extremely unique experience for competitors. They can expect a warm summer evening packed with thrilling turns on the giant swing followed by speed runs on the alpine slide and amazing food and drink!”
Marking the mid-way point of the Vermont Summer Festival, week three’s exhibitor party will take place at The Copper Grouse at Kimpton Taconic on Wednesday, July 19. Featuring farm-to-table American cuisine, The Copper Grouse is the on-site restaurant of Kimpton Taconic’s boutique hotel.
A long-time Vermont Summer Festival lodging partner, Barrows House is a quintessential Vermont country inn. Quaint and relaxing, Barrows House will welcome exhibitors to its expansive lawn in the village of Dorset on Wednesday, July 26.
The season finale of the 2017 Vermont Summer Festival will once again be held at The Equinox Resort on Wednesday, August 9. A long-time sponsor of the Vermont Summer Festival, The Equinox Resort is a luxury resort experience featuring a spa, golf course, multiple restaurants, acres of trails, as well as the Green Mountain Falconry School.
Offering more than $750,000 in prize money over the course of its six-week run, the Vermont Summer Festival is New England’s largest hunter/jumper competition as well as the state’s richest sporting event based on purse.
Competition at the 2017 Vermont Summer Festival runs weekly from Wednesday through Sunday, beginning each day at 8 a.m. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children from Wednesday through Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, admission is $9 for adults and $5 for children with 100% of all gate proceeds benefiting the Manchester Community Library, Meals on Wheels of Bennington County, and Rotary Club of Manchester.
