Stall and Entry Reminder for 2024 Summer Series at World Equestrian Center – Wilmington

Entries and stall reservations remain open for the 2024 World Equestrian Center – Wilmington (WEC) Summer Series. The Summer I and II horse shows on July 10-21 will feature USEF Regional/Level 3 Jumpers with nearly $100,000 in prize money and awards. Summer III, held on August 7-11, will feature USEF Premier/Level 4 Jumpers with nearly $300,000 in total prize money including exciting new opportunities for increased prize money in the hunter ring.

WEC offers classes for everyone from cross rails to grand prix. Exhibitors can look forward to top hunter/jumper competition along with weekly family friendly events, onsite dining and lodging.

The Summer Series will be held in WEC’s premier, newly renovated outdoor facilities. Competition will go on rain or shine, as the classes can be moved to climate-controlled, indoor facilities in the event of inclement weather.

The 2024 Summer Series at WEC – Wilmington includes the following dates and ratings:
• July 10-14: Summer I – USEF Regional/Level 3 Jumper
• July 17-21: Summer II – USEF Regional/Level 3 Jumper
• August 7-11: Summer III – USEF Premier/Level 4 Jumper

Summer I and II featured hunter classes:
• $10,000 WEC 3’ Hunter Derby – Open
• $2,500 WEC 2’6” Non-Pro Hunter Derby
• $1,500 WEC Pony/Children’s Pony Hunter Derby

Summer I and II featured jumper classes:
• $25,000 Grand Prix
• $7,500 Welcome Stake
• $7,500 Futures Prix

Summer III featured hunter classes:
• $20,000 USHJA National 3′ Non-Pro Hunter Derby
• $20,000 USHJA National 3′ Open Hunter Derby
• $3,500 USHJA Pony Hunter Derby
• $3,500 Non-Pro 2’6 Hunter Derby
• $3,000 WEC 2′ Hunter Derby

Summer III featured jumper classes:
• $10,000 Futures Prix
• $10,000 Welcome Stake
• $30,000 Grand Prix

Young Hunter and Jumper Incentive Program

WEC – Wilmington is offering an affordable and exciting way to bring along young horses at its premier, centrally located facility. All 5-, 6-, and 7-year-olds are eligible to be nominated for the remainder of the 2024 show season.

All nominated jumpers will be eligible for the $45,000 Young Jumper Championship. Jumpers will pay a one-time nomination fee to enter the program. Entry fees and jumper nomination fees will be FREE for every show through November 2024.
All nominated hunters will be eligible for the Young Hunter Championship, where they will be offered back 100% of the nomination fees collected throughout the year as prize money (with a minimum of $2,500 guaranteed). Hunters will pay a one-time nomination fee to enter the program. Entry fees in the Young Hunter Division will be FREE for every show through November 2024.

The Young Hunter and Jumper Incentive Championships are tentatively scheduled to take place during Fall Classic #3 in October 2024.
