Sharn Wordley and his own Gatsby took the win in the $75,000 CaptiveOne Advisors Grand Prix during week ten of the World Equestrian Center – Ocala Winter Spectacular on Saturday, March 13. Wordley and Gatsby were the quickest of a 13-horse jump-off to secure the win. Santiago Lambre took second and third aboard Comtess and Easy Girl, respectively. When asked about his plan for the course, Wordley commented, "Santiago had five in the class and four in the jump-off, and he’s always really hard to beat, so my plan was to go just a little bit faster than Santiago." Wordley's jump-off time ended up being only four one-hundredths of a second quicker than Lambre's second place time, but was enough to take the win.
“I love this place," Wordley continued. "I love the management, I love the classes, I love the crowd, I love everything. I’ve show jumped in 36 countries around the world and this is by far the best place that I’ve been to. It’s so nice to have it on my doorstep, too."

Izzy Beisel Does It Again in the $7,500 WEC – Ocala Futures Prix 1.40m
For the second week in a row, Izzy Beisel topped the $7,500 WEC – Ocala Futures Prix with David Beisel's Ammeretto. In a close second was David Beisel aboard Equine Holdings LLC's Ivana Jump. Third went to Santiago Lambre and Doloris. “I went right after my dad, who went double-clear in 31 seconds," said Izzy Beisel. "I passed him going into the ring and told him that I could do it in 29 seconds, and we ended up doing the jump-off in 30 seconds. It was really fun. Ammeretto is such a fun horse and he knows what he’s doing."
“Izzy’s win was pretty special," remarked David Beisel about the one-two finish for the Beisel family. "It was great getting beat by my own daughter! This is the first time we’ve gone one-two in a big class, but hopefully it’s the first of many."
