About The Auction by Arqana
The founder and CEO of Ecuries d’Ecaussinnes and EEM, a major player on the international equestrian scene, Christophe Ameeuw has chosen ARQANA, France’s number 1 racehorse auctioneer and among the leaders in Europe, as his partner to launch The Auction by Arqana, a groundbreaking program of auction sales dedicated to show jumping horses.

Passionate about equestrian sports, Christophe Ameeuw - President of EEM and creator and organizer of the Longines Masters Series, the Asia Horse Week, and the Riders Masters Cup - founded the Ecuries d’Ecaussinnes in 1997. Based in Belgium, the stables are internationally reputed for their activities in trading sport horses and high-standard breeding. They are also home to some of the best teaching available in the field.

EEM built its development by creating the concept of the “Masters”, which brings together, under the same roof, the best of show-jumping, resplendent displays, and art de vivre. After the successes of the Audi Masters in Brussels and the Gucci Masters in Paris, EEM came out with one of the world’s most prestigious equestrian events, the Longines Masters Series, on three continents, in Paris, Hong Kong, New York, and Lausanne.

ARQANA was created in 2006 from the merger between Agence Française and Goffs France, with support from His Highness the Aga Khan and Artcurial as majority shareholders.

Based in the seaside resort of Deauville, it is the leading racehorse auction house in France with 17 sales every year, which cover all market segments (foals, yearlings, horses in training, broodmares etc.) and gross over €150 million annually - thoroughbreds and trotters combined.
