Rissoa d’Ag Bois Margot Named Equis Boutique Best Presented Horse at Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows CSI3*

Rissoa d’Ag Bois Margot, owned and ridden by Lauren Fischer (USA), was named the Equis Boutique Best Presented Horse Award winner during the Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows CSI3*, held May 16-21, 2017, at Old Salem Farm in North Salem, NY.

The FEI CSI3* Horse Inspection for week two of the Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows was held Wednesday, May 17, at Old Salem Farm. Led by President José Gamarra (BOL), the FEI Ground Jury evaluated the appearance and condition of horses jogging for FEI competition. They recognized Rissoa d’Ag Bois Margot, a 12-year-old chestnut Selle Français stallion (Quincy / Quaprice x Artichaut), as the Equis Boutique Best Presented Horse Award winner.
“You want your horses to look the best they possibly can all the time,” said Fischer, 19, of Bedford Hills, NY. “But, the jog is another important part because presentation is a reflection of you and your horse when you walk in the ring, and at the jog.
“I have been trying to win this award since week two of WEF,” continued Fischer, who prepared and presented Rissoa d’Ag Bois Margot herself at the FEI Horse Inspection for the Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows. “Whenever I can, I try to jog my own horses. The jog has always been one the of the most exciting parts of horse showing for me.”
Fischer is studying marketing at Fairfield University and while she tries to be as involved as possible, she also gives credit to her team, saying, “I have a big team behind me, and everyone forms a really good support system. I love being involved in the care of the horses, but I can’t do it all myself. It is nice to know that I have a group of people that I can depend on.”
Fischer and Rissoa d’Ag Bois Margot were honored for the Equis Best Presented Horse Award in a presentation during week two of the Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows by Micah Gentry of Equis Boutique.
