Ridland and Guerdat Start the Wagering for Riders Masters Cup with #RMCIBetYou
The Chefs d’Equipe for the Riders Masters Cup, Robert Ridland (Team USA) and Philippe Guerdat (Team Europe) have each posted their videos for the #RMCIBetYou Challenge! The friendly wagering surrounds who will win the inaugural Riders Masters Cup event, which kicks off at the Longines Masters of Paris on December 2, 2017, and concludes with a second bout at the Longines Masters of New York on April 28, 2018.
Ridland, the U.S. coach who helped guide the Americans to the team silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, is willing to bet a full American-style barbeque, while Guerdat (father of Olympic gold medalist Steve Guerdat) took on the bet and responded that top French rider Kevin Staut would be piloting Kadidja! Riders interested in competing at the Longines Masters of New York can now enter in three different division offerings.
• MASTERS THREE (Limited Entries)
Open to Juniors and Amateurs, 1.15m-1.25m
• MASTERS TWO (Limited Entries)
Open to Juniors, Amateurs, and Professionals, 1.35m-1.45m
• MASTERS ONE
The best riders of the Longines FEI World Rankings will be invited by the Organizing Committee.
• U25*
Open to riders under 25 years of age, 1.45m, riders must participate in MASTERS ONE or TWO to be eligible for U25 classes.
