Media are now welcome to apply for accreditation for the 68th annual Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) presented by MARS Equestrian™ taking place October 19-25, 2026, at The Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, MD.
Media Credential Information
WIHS is pleased to welcome all media on-site this year. A media center in The Show Place Arena will be provided, and press conferences will be held following the WIHS Equitation Finals and the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Washington CSI5*-W for the President's Cup on Saturday, October 24.
Of note, any photographers using a media pass may only sell their photos for media usage — photos cannot be sold or given away to exhibitors. If you would like to sell photos, please apply for a private photographer credential at www.WIHS.org/mediacenter.

Private Photographer Information
All private photographers are required to apply for a private photographer credential if they plan to give or sell their photos to exhibitors. A limited number of private photographer credentials are available and are subject to management approval.

- Thursday evening: Opening Night “Salute to Service”, featuring $63,000 Welcome Stake, $63,000 Stars and Stripes Speed Stake
- Friday evening: MARS Barn Night, featuring $63,000 Accumulator Costume class, WIHS Shetland Pony Steeplechase Championship Race, WIHS Pony Jumper Championships, presented by World Wide Technology
- Saturday evening: World Cup Night, featuring the $340,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Washington CSI5*-W following the top 10 work-off for the WIHS Equitation Final
- Saturday: Kids’ Day, a free event, rain or shine (Saturday, October 24, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.): Pony rides, face painting, a horseless horse show, as well as fun and educational hands-on activities for children and families to learn about the wonderful world of horses. Access to arena events is free for all of the daytime session for kids under 18, adult tickets are $10 for the $50,000 Ambassador’s Cup Grand Prix CSI2* and available online or at The Show Place Arena Box Office.
- Saturday afternoon: $50,000 Ambassador's Cup Grand Prix CSI2* – The new CSI2* International Jumper division culminates with the grand prix showcasing top up-and-coming talent. Tickets are $10 for adults and free for kids under 18.
- New CSI2* International Jumper division, WIHS Championships presented by MARS Equestrian; Professional, Junior, Amateur, and Pony Hunters; 1.10m Junior and Amateur Jumpers; WIHS Regional Hunter Finals; Special Awards and Trophies
