It was an action-packed evening during the 2024 Winter Spectacular Show Series at World Equestrian Center – Ocala for the $100,000 Juniper Grand Prix on Saturday, January 13, 2024, culminating in a thrilling 11-horse jump-off and a victory for Tracy Fenney (USA) and MTM Apple.

British course designer Ben Townley’s track narrowed the starting field down to 11 fault-free combinations with five countries represented in the deciding jump-off, including New Zealand, United States, Ireland, Portugal, and Australia. While five horse-and-rider duos repeated a clear effort, it was Fenney’s blazing time of 35.032 seconds with MTM Apple that could not be caught, delighting the crowd with an electrifying performance.

“When she’s on, I know she’s ready to win it, and tonight she was on it,” said Fenney of the 13-year-old Danish Warmblood mare (Favorit Ask x Willemoes) owned by MTM Farm. “She has such a ginormous stride, so I was able to leave out just about everywhere. I think we did one less in almost every spot. There’s no other feeling like winning on a Saturday night and walking down that ramp. To have the crowd go crazy and cheering you on is the best feeling. Apple has become such a favorite, everyone knows her, and it makes it that much more fun.”

Aaron Vale (USA) and I.adermie R 4, an 11-year-old KWPN mare (Den Ham Blue R x W.adermie 1) was the closest to Fenney’s time, stopping the clock in 36.370 seconds for a second-place finish. Daniel Coyle (IRL) was just behind Vale in 36.832 seconds, to complete the top three with Farrel, a 14-year-old KWPN gelding (Cardento 933 x Stakkato).
