Fenney and Abrahamson Post World Equestrian Center Grand Prix Wins

Tracy Fenney Takes Home First and Second Place in $75,000 E-Z-GO Grand Prix at World Equestrian Center – Ocala

An international list of 40 competitors took on the $75,000 E-Z-GO Grand Prix on Saturday, July 17, during week six of the World Equestrian Center – Ocala Summer Series. Tracy Fenney (USA) claimed the top two spots aboard MTM Apple and MTM Reve Du Paradis, both owned by MTM Farm. Fenney and MTM Apple, a 16-year-old Selle Francais gelding, topped 10 jump-off contenders to take the win. Third place went to Jamie Taylor (USA) and Quatar.

An additional $5,000 was awarded to Olympic team gold medalist Will Simpson (USA) and Chacco P, the pair that jumped the fastest four-fault round of Saturday night’s $75,000 E-Z-GO Grand Prix, in 69.580 seconds. The non-award winning entry that received the Luck of the Draw $5,000 prize was Kris Killam (USA) and Gangster CHS.

Kady Abrahamson Wins Second Consecutive WEC – Wilmington $30,000 Grand Prix

Kady Abrahamson (USA) and Maraca LS La Silla jumped to victory again in the WEC – Wilmington $30,000 Grand Prix on Saturday, July 17, topping a field of 25 entries. Kevin McCarthy (IRL) and HSS Catch A Star took second, while David Beisel (USA) and Essince W rounded out the top three.

“She has a big stride and is very brave," Abrahamson said of her winning mount. "I took a chance with her on the bigger jumps because I know if she has a good pace to support it she will do great. Today I left strides out in the rollbacks, and that really helped us.”
