Anna Christina Gansauer of Ecuador and her mount Delgado van't Neerhof were honored with the Equis Boutique “Best Presented Horse” Award at the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) Horse Inspection of the CSI3*-W Live Oak International held February 25-28, 2016, in Ocala, FL.

Gansauer and her groom, Victoria Weaver, paid special attention when preparing Delgado van't Neerhof for the FEI Horse Inspection.  While observing turn-out of both horse and rider, the Live Oak ground jury, including Brazil's Elaine Zander and Lloyd Longenecker of Annville, PA, selected Gansauer and her 13-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, owned by Werner Gansauer, as the “Best Presented”.

“Our goal when developing this award was to bring some much-deserved formality back to the FEI Horse Inspection,” said Cesar Hirsch, who is a co-founder of Equis Boutique alongside fellow FEI Official Elena Couttenye.  “In just one year we have seen that start to happen.  Every part of competing at the FEI level is impressive, and the FEI Horse Inspection is an important part of that whole experience.”

Gansauer has had the ride on Delgado van't Neerhof for almost two years and agrees that the FEI Horse Inspection is a pivotal component of international competition.

“They call horse sport the sport of kings and it needs to be presented that way,” said Gansauer.  “These horses must be turned out properly.  In eventing, the jog is a big deal and I think it's great that Equis is trying to bring our sport of show jumping in that direction.”

Delgado van't Neerhof is the horse of a lifetime, according to Gansauer.  The pair made their Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Qualifier debut as Live Oak hosted the final North American League qualifier for the 2016 Longines FEI World Cup Final in Gothenburg, Sweden, from March 23-26.

“He is amazing in every sense,” said Gansauer.  “In my eyes, he's always the prettiest, and he knows it, too.  He shows off under the limelight at the jog and in the ring.”

Gansauer was presented with a commemorative plaque and prizes from Equis Boutique partner brands by Joe Wasmer of Equis Boutique in recognition of her “Best Presented” honor.
