Coline, ridden by Sarah Hubbard (USA) in the Hollow Creek Farm Under 25 Grand Prix Series, claimed the Equis Boutique Best Presented Under 25 Horse Award during week eight of the 2017 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) in Wellington, FL.

Equis Boutique, a luxury tack and apparel shopping experience, is sponsoring the Best Presented Horse Award at each International Equestrian Federation (FEI) and Under 25 Horse Inspection held throughout the 12-week WEF. The Hollow Creek Farm Under 25 Grand Prix Series continues with two more weeks of FEI-sanctioned competition during WEF 10 and 12 with Equis Boutique naming a Best Presented Award winner each week.

The FEI Horse Inspection for CSI-U25 competition during WEF 8 was held Wednesday, March 1, at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC). The FEI Ground Jury, led by President David Distler (USA), evaluated the appearance and condition of horses jogging for Under 25 competition and chose Coline as the Best Presented Under 25 Horse.

Preparing Coline for FEI competition at WEF was a team effort and paid off at Wednesday’s horse inspection. Coline, a ten-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare (Vittorio x Voltaire), is cared for by Hubbard herself, Hubbard’s mother, Juliet, and Nick Lindland.

“We work hard to make the horse beautiful and care for her well, so it was a nice award to win,” said Juliet Hubbard.

Of Coline, Lindland said, “She’s such a perfect horse; her barn name is actually ‘Perfect’! On our European tour last year, she jumped five clear rounds. She stands perfect for her ice boots, perfect for her bath, and we actually braid her with no halter on because she just stands there. The award is very fitting for this horse.”

“Winning this award is really cool because we do everything ourselves, and we work really hard,” said Sarah Hubbard, 23, who jumped clear with Coline to finish eleventh in the $10,000 Hollow Creek Farm Under 25 Grand Prix Series Welcome on Thursday, March 2. “We love our horses so much, and it’s nice when that is recognized. I’m thankful that Equis Boutique is presenting this award at the jog because everyone should care how their horses look, take pride in it, and, most especially, jog their own horses themselves.”

In recognition of receiving the Equis Best Presented Under 25 Horse Award, Hubbard was presented with a commemorative Best Presented Horse vest, as well as a $100 gift certificate to Equis Boutique.
