All In, ridden by Katherine Strauss (USA) in the Hollow Creek Farm Under 25 Grand Prix Series, claimed the Equis Boutique Best Presented Under 25 Horse Award during the sixth week of competition at the 2017 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) in Wellington, FL.

Equis Boutique, a luxury tack and apparel shopping experience, is sponsoring the Best Presented Horse Award at each International Equestrian Federation (FEI) and Under 25 Horse Inspection held throughout the 12-week WEF. The Hollow Creek Farm Under 25 Grand Prix Series continues with five more FEI-sanctioned events during WEF 8, 10, and 12. Equis Boutique will name one Best Presented winner each week.

The FEI Horse Inspection for the two CSI-U25 events held during WEF 6 was held Thursday, February 16, at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC). The FEI Ground Jury, led by President Ralph Alfano, evaluated the appearance and condition of horses jogging for Under 25 competition and chose All In, groomed by Georgi De Rham, as the Best Presented Under 25 Horse.

“I was really surprised to be honest, but I love this horse, and I am happy he was recognized because he is really beautiful and I love taking care of him,” said De Rham of All In, a 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding (Aachen x Indoctro). “I have been taking care of All In for so long that I feel very close to him. I am so proud of him.”

De Rham began working full-time with Strauss full-time during WEF 2015. She not only cares for All In, but also keeps him fit while Strauss travels between Wellington and New York during the winter season. Strauss, 18, is currently a senior at the Brearley School in New York City.

Of De Rham, Strauss said, “She is the most amazing person. She is thoughtful, attentive to details, and really loves the horses. She has a great bond with All In, and I am so grateful to work with someone like her. I look up to her in so many ways.

“I think it is great that Equis Boutique places an emphasis on turn-out and presentation,” continued Strauss, who trains with four-time U.S. Olympic medalist Beezie Madden and John Madden at John Madden Sales based in Cazenovia, NY. “I participated in the George Morris Horsemastership Training Session, and Anne Kursinski kept stressing that you have to feel and look like a winner to be a winner. This award reminds me of that; the jog is so important and sets the tone for the rest of the week.”

Strauss and All In were also successful in the show ring, placing fifth in the $35,000 Hollow Creek Farm Under 25 Grand Prix, presented by EnTrust Capital, on Sunday, February 19.

In recognition of receiving the Equis Best Presented Under 25 Horse Award, De Rham was presented with a commemorative Best Presented Horse vest while Strauss received a $100 gift certificate to Equis Boutique.
