Days End Farm Horse Rescue to Host Fall Festival in Woodbine, MD

The Days End Farm Horse Rescue Fall Festival will feature arena demos and exhibitions on Saturday, September 27 in Woodbine, MD.

The public is invited to join Days End Farm Horse Rescue (DEFHR) in Woodbine, MD, for two days of fun during the non-profit organization’s Fall Festival Kick-Off Concert on Friday, September 27, and the DEFHR Fall Festival and 30th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, September 28.

Both events will be held at 1372 Woodbine Road in Woodbine, MD, with the festivities kicking off at 6 p.m. on Friday evening, with live music from The 19th Street Band beginning at 7 p.m.

In addition to enjoying a concert under the stars, Friday night guests can play corn hole and giant Jenga and join DEFHR in saying “cheers to 30 years” with the opening of DEFHR’s Hops for Horses Beer Garden, which will be serving seasonal brews to pair with food from a local food truck available onsite. Admission for Friday night’s event is $5 per person at the gate, with proceeds going to DEFHR’s equine rehabilitation fund.

The fun will continue on Saturday when the 2019 Fall Festival gets underway beginning at 11 a.m. This year’s edition of the annual Fall Festival will celebrate DEFHR’s 30th anniversary and will feature games, a kids’ zone, pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, vendors, arena demos and exhibitions, the Hops for Horses Beer Garden, and much more.

Beginning at 12 p.m., guests will enjoy the sounds of rock, funk, and soul with live music from the 10-piece band The Rebels.

Admission for Saturday’s Fall Festival is $2, with children 12 and under admitted free. Parking is $2, with proceeds from admission going to the rescue and rehabilitation of horses at DEFHR and parking proceeds going to local Boy and Girl Scout Troops.
