Upper Marlboro, MD - Mark your calendars: the prize list for the highly-anticipated 31st edition of the Capital Challenge Horse Show on September 26-October 6, 2024, will be out on July 28, with entries opening on July 30. The prize list will be available on the show’s newly redesigned website, www.CapitalChallenge.org.

This year, the prize fund has been boosted by $50,000 for the World Championship Hunter Rider (WCHR) Professional Challenge, on Wednesday, October 2, bolstering what is an 11-day extravaganza of elite level competition at Prince George’s Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, MD.

For the sixth consecutive year, Capital Challenge Horse Show and Connaway & Associates Equine Insurance have teamed up to offer a special award to the North American-bred horse who earns the highest scoring round in the professional hunter divisions — so don’t forget to enter class 8000 on the entry blank if your horse is North American bred, which includes horses born in Canada, Mexico, and the U.S.
