The official barn management software of U.S. Equestrian, BarnManager, has partnered with the Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) for the third consecutive year as a presenting sponsor of the WIHS Barn Night and the presenting sponsor of the WIHS Barn Night Video Contest.

This year, BarnManager has also further expanded its partnership with WIHS thanks to the involvement of the Equine Tech Collaborative in the 2019 horse show, to be held October 22-27 at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

“I’ve always loved WIHS, so when the opportunity arose three years ago for BarnManager to sponsor the WIHS Barn Night Video Contest, I was on board right away!” said Nicole Lakin, the founder and chief executive officer of BarnManager.

For the past two years, BarnManager has presented the winners of the WIHS Barn Night Video Contest with a clinic with a top rider or trainer. Past clinicians have included dressage Olympian Laura Graves in 2017 and renowned equitation, hunter, and jumper trainer Stacia Klein Madden in 2018.

This year, when the video contest winning group is announced on Barn Night, Thursday, October 24, Lakin and the BarnManager team look forward to awarding a clinic with acclaimed show jumper Aaron Vale to the winning group.

In addition, the BarnManager team is looking forward to expanding its involvement in WIHS 2019 alongside the company’s Equine Tech Collab partners Electronic Vet, Etalon Diagnostics, and Hylofit.

Together, the four equine technology companies will sponsor an exhibitors’ lounge breakfast on Friday, October 25, and will invite all Barn Night attendees to the Equine Tech Collab’s interactive pop-up vendor booth on Thursday, October 24.

“The Equine Tech Collab was formed as a way to bring equine technology companies together to reach more people and provide them with technology solutions and education that would not be as feasible on our own as individual companies,” explained Lakin, who founded the collaborative group in 2017 as a way to bring together equine technology companies looking to provide the best possible solutions for those within the equestrian industry.

“We have some fun photo ops and giveaways planned for Thursday night during Barn Night, as well as opportunities for spectators and exhibitors to try out some of the technology and sign up for free trials of programs like BarnManager, so we’re looking forward to it!” concluded Lakin.
