BarnManager is the official barn management software of the U.S. Equestrian Federation (USEF), and now the two organizations have come together to offer riders, owners, trainers, and managers alike improved record-keeping on all USEF-registered horses.

With the incorporation of the BarnManager software into the USEF Member Dashboard, equestrians can find all of their barn management, horse health, and USEF show records within one place—inside the BarnManager app and software. Participation is optional, and USEF will require member consent prior to sharing their data with BarnManager.

“This is something that we’ve been working to bring to fruition with the team at U.S. Equestrian for a while. We’re really excited to launch this collaboration and about what it means for the user experience,” said Nicole Lakin, founder and chief executive officer of BarnManger. “BarnManager was designed to streamline and simplify all that goes into barn management, and this helps take that even one step further.”

BarnManager has always allowed users to easily create horse profiles from their phone, laptop, or tablet, but now, the horse’s full USEF record, results, and identification card can also be imported in just a few clicks.

To ensure user security, information from the USEF database is not transferrable to BarnManager without permission from the horse owner and will be granted through API. USEF members can find the option to grant BarnManager access to their horses’ records inside their member dashboard at USEF.org. A request to access a horse’s records can be sent to the owner directly through the BarnManager application.

Once a horse’s USEF record is imported to BarnManager, the software enables users to identify and address inconsistencies between USEF data and any data stored within their BarnManager account. It also allows users to access their horses’ identification cards and results pages quickly and easily through links in the BarnManager horse details page.

“Our partnership with BarnManager is going to make it easier for our members to access and manage their horses’ information in one place and in a secure manner,” said USEF CEO Bill Moroney. “Allowing the option for BarnManager’s software to interface with the USEF database is a beneficial advancement, and we hope our membership takes advantage of this efficient resource.”
