World Equestrian Center – Ocala Adds More Than $150,000 in Prize Money to 2021 Summer Horse Show Series

World Equestrian Center – Ocala has added an additional $150,000 in prize money to be awarded throughout weeks II, II and IV of its inaugural 2021 National Snaffle Bit Association (NSBA) Summer Horse Show Series. The increase in prize money for competition June 16-20, June 23-27 and June 30-July 4 celebrates the outstanding support the Summer Show Series has received from competitors so far. Entries are still open for all remaining weeks of the Summer Show Series.
“We’ve seen an amazing response this season in Ocala with trainers and riders joining us from all over the country and the world,” said Roby Roberts. “With the recent opening of The Equestrian Hotel at WEC and the new summer shows underway, we want to keep saying thank you and add some more fun to the summer for our exhibitors and their families.”
Prize money increases have been assigned to the following classes during Summer II, III and IV:
- The Grand Prix will now offer $75,000, with a $5,000 rider bonus for the fastest four-fault first round
- The Futures Prix will now offer $10,000
- The Non-Pro Hunter Derby will now offer $7,500 in prize money
- The Pony Hunter Derby prize money will be doubled to $5,000
