January 29, 2025 - Gladstone, NJ
In the wake of the devastation caused by the recent wildfires in Southern California, The United States Equestrian Team (USET) Foundation has awarded a $25,000 grant to Fleet of Angels to support relief efforts for the equestrian community that has been impacted by this disaster. Funds from the grant will help Fleet of Angels to provide hay and shavings as well as assist in offsetting costs related to fencing repairs and veterinary fees.
“We are deeply grateful to the USET Foundation for the generous support,” said Elaine Nash, Founder and Executive Director, Fleet of Angels. “The wildfires have displaced countless horses and owners and have contributed to increased logistical difficulties and financial strain. This grant will allow us to continue our vital work providing immediate relief to these horses and their owners. Thanks to the support of thoughtful individuals and mission-driven organizations such as the USET Foundation, we can drive purposeful change for those who need it most.”
“The team at the USET Foundation believes in the importance of community support during times of crisis, and these wildfires have posed significant challenges for Southern Californian horses and their owners,” stated Bonnie Jenkins, Executive Director, USET Foundation. “We are grateful that organizations like Fleet of Angels exist to provide direct relief to at-risk equines. We hope that the resilience of the equestrian community, as well as the support of like-minded organizations, can offer some measure of comfort and assistance to those affected by the fires.”
