Entries and stall reservations are open for the 2024 Fall Classic Series at World Equestrian Center – Wilmington (WEC) featuring five weeks of elite US Equestrian (USEF)-rated hunter/jumper competition beginning September 25 through October 27.

2024 Fall Classic Series Dates and Ratings:

  • Fall Classic I: September 25-29, USEF National Hunter/Level 4 Jumper
  • Fall Classic II: October 2-6, USEF National Hunter/Level 4 Jumper
  • Fall Classic III: October 9-13, USEF Premier Hunter/Level 5 Jumper
  • Fall Classic IV: October 16-20, USEF Premier Hunter/Level 4 Jumper
  • Fall Classic V: October 23-27, USEF Premier Hunter/Level 4 Jumper

2024 Fall Classic Series Information

Hunter Highlights:

  • $15,000 USHJA National 3’ Hunter Derby
  • $3,500 2’6” Non-Pro Hunter Derby
  • $1,500 USHJA Pony Hunter Derby
  • $12,000 WEC 3’6”-3’9” Hunter Derby (Fall Classic V only)

Jumper Highlights:

  • $50,000 Grand Prix (Fall Classic I and II)
  • $60,000 Grand Prix (Fall III, IV and V)
  • $10,000 Futures Prix
  • $15,000 Welcome Stake

WEC – Wilmington will welcome internationally acclaimed course designers to the facility for the 2024 Fall Series, including Guilherme Jorge (BRA), Alan Wade (IRL), Anderson Lima (BRA) and Bobby Murphy (USA).

Exhibitors will have many chances to get in the Halloween spirit with weekly events and prizes available throughout the Fall Classic Series. Fall Classic V will feature a $2,500 Costume Gambler’s Choice .90-1.0m and a $3,500 Costume Gambler’s Choice 1.10-1.15m.

WEC – Wilmington’s annual Halloween costume contest invites riders and horses to parade around the warm-up arena immediately following the conclusion of the grand prix during Fall Classic V with a $250 prize for the champion and a $150 prize for the reserve champion.

Young Horse Incentive Championship

All nominated jumpers will be eligible for the $45,000 Young Jumper Championship to be split into three classes: the $5,000 WEC Five-Year-Old Jumper Championship, the $15,000 WEC Six-Year-Old Jumper Championship and the $25,000 Seven-Year-Old Jumper Championship during Fall Classic III.

All nominated hunters will be eligible for the Young Hunter Championship during Fall Classic III with a guaranteed 100% addback for all entry fees collected in 2024.

Guests are advised to make lodging reservations at their earliest convenience to ensure they secure accommodations close to the show grounds. Reservations can be made at WEC.net or by calling 937-382-0985 ext. 3.

WEC – Wilmington has a myriad of onsite lodging options for guests:

  • The Wilbur Estate – A stunning plantation-style mansion with five elegant luxury suites. The Wilbur Estate is centrally located on the horse show grounds, just steps from arenas, stabling, and the Paddock Club. Free WiFi and VIP parking are included in your stay.
  • Cabins – Each cabin sleeps up to six guests and is within walking distance from the arenas and barns. Accessible options are available. Free WiFi is included.
  • Home Away from Home Park – Directly across the street from the horse show entrance, the130 Home Away From Home units have two or three bedrooms with a fully equipped kitchen and living and dining room area. Free WiFi is included.
  • Camping Sites – WEC has many camping sites equipped with electric, water, and sewer. Spots must be reserved on your entry form or stall reservation form. Please check in at the horse show office for a pass prior to parking your RV.
