The Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows get underway on Tuesday, May 9, with the support of top sponsors from the equestrian industry and beyond. The Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows feature two consecutive weeks of exciting equestrian competition, as well as family-friendly events, on May 9-14 and May 16-21 at Old Salem Farm in North Salem, NY.
Entering their sixth year of supporting the Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows, The Kincade Group is a New York City-based wealth management team within Bank of America, Merrill Lynch. One of the most faithful supporters of horse sport at Old Salem Farm, The Kincade Group will once again present both grand prix events during the two-week show. The $50,000 Old Salem Farm CSI 2* Grand Prix, presented by The Kincade Group, will take place on Sunday, May 14, followed by the $130,000 Empire State CSI 3* Grand Prix, presented by The Kincade Group, on Sunday, May 21.
“Supportive sponsors not only make horse shows like this possible, they also add great value to the riders and their horses,” said Old Salem Farm Manager Alan Bietsch. “Thanks to sponsors like The Kincade Group, we have been able to elevate competition, add innovative classes to our schedule, and offer the best possible product to our exhibitors.”
In 2016, an Under 25 division was introduced at the Old Salem Farm Spring Shows, giving young riders an opportunity to experience top-level competition against competitors their own age. This year, the Under 25 division will be sponsored by returning Old Salem Farm supporter, Douglas Elliman Real Estate. The division is highlighted by the $15,000 Under 25 Grand Prix, presented by Douglas Elliman Real Estate, on Saturday, May 20.
“Douglas Elliman is passionate about the Equestrian sport, and sponsoring events like the Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows. They not only put us in direct contact with customers and clients, it also gives us the opportunity and the honor to support the horses and riders,” said Scott Durkin, Chief Operating Officer at Douglas Elliman Real Estate. “We are pleased to present an exciting new division and play a role in the growth of show jumping within New York State and beyond.”
Headlining the list of new sponsors at the 2017 Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows, Skyline Stables will sponsor the Medium Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper division. Additionally, Voltaire Design will present the $5,000 Leading Hunter Rider Award at the conclusion of the two-week show, Equis Boutique will present the Equis Boutique Best Presented Horse Award at each FEI Horse Inspection, and The Gochman Family returns as sponsor of the $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby on Saturday, May 20.
