KASK Helmets, based in Italy and the U.S. are best known for developing, designing and manufacturing safety helmets of the highest quality for activities ranging from downhill skiing to cycling, expanded into the equestrian market earlier this year and is proud to announce their products are now available for purchase in the U.S. and Canada.

KASK boasts innovative customization options from color to construction; soft, eco-leather hypoallergenic chinstraps; and a performance venting system. Launched in 2004, KASK experienced a successful evolution in a short period of time, most recently breaking into equestrian sports. Riders across disciplines including show jumping, dressage, eventing, endurance, and more can inquire about purchasing a KASK helmet by e-mailing info@kaskequestrian.com, or calling 980-255-9936.

“The immediate success and popularity that we have enjoyed is proof of KASK's quality under performance conditions at any level,” said North American Brand Manager Gianluca Caron. “We are very proud to debut KASK in the U.S. and Canada this year, but also to start building a team of sponsored riders within the U.S.”

KASK set roots in the U.S. this month, sponsoring its first North American rider and young professional, Spencer Smith.

Smith first heard the buzz surrounding KASK's debut on the horse sport scene when he visited Stephex Stables in Belgium to try horses this summer. All riders at Stephex Stables, including German show jumper and FEI World Cup Finals winner Daniel Deusser, are sponsored by KASK. Deusser is one of the most decorated riders at Stephex Stables to make up the list of KASK-sponsored riders in Europe, and he encouraged Smith to give his helmet of choice a try. After one ride, Smith was sold on KASK and quickly became a sponsored rider and brand ambassador.

“Riding and showing in KASK helmets is so different than others I have had,” said Smith. “It supports from the front and back and relieves pressure on the sides, which is something that I have struggled with while wearing other helmets. The comfort is second-to-none.”

Smith is currently kicking off his first year as a professional while building a string of horses to compete at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL, this winter.

“We sold a lot of horses after the winter season last year and now we are preparing new horses. My big goals this year are to move into FEI competition and be competitive at the 1.50m level in the upcoming season,” said Smith, who rides and works alongside his parents Ken and Emily Smith at their family-owned Ashland Farm, based in Wellington. “I was really lucky to come out of my junior years with good horses, good results, and good people supporting me. From that, sponsorships have been evolving much faster than I could have imagined. I am proud and excited to represent KASK in the show ring.”

KASK will be making additional rider announcements in the coming months and is also currently building a list of North American distributors. Tack shops interested in carrying KASK inventory should contact info@kaskequestrian.com or 980-255-9936.
