2018 Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows Prize List Now Available Online

The prize list for the Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows, which includes a CSI2* running May 8-13 and CSI3* on May 15-20 at Old Salem Farm in North Salem, NY, is now available online at www.oldsalemfarm.net.

In addition to featuring two consecutive weeks of Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) competition, offering international jumper riders the opportunity to gain coveted Longines FEI World Ranking points, the Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows continue a longstanding tradition of top hunter, jumper, and equitation sport. World-class show jumping returns to the heart of Westchester's horse country with premier-rated hunters and USEF 5* and USEF 6* jumpers. Entries for the 2018 Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Show are due on Friday, April 6, 2018.

"The Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows have become an iconic part of the spring schedule and are often the first stop for many riders after the winter show season," said Michael Morrissey, Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows manager. "We work tirelessly each year to improve the exhibitor and spectator experience. Several footing upgrades and an increase in prize money await exhibitors in 2018, in addition to an innovative and all-inclusive show schedule with exciting offerings spanning all divisions."

Highlights of the 2018 Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows schedule include: the fan-favorite $15,000 Old Salem Farm Speed Derby, presented by TownVibe, a $5,000 Equitation Challenge, and CSI 2* jumper competition culminating with the $50,000 Old Salem Farm Grand Prix, presented by The Kincade Group, during Week 1. Week 2 offers a $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby and three feature jumper events with the $130,000 Empire State Grand Prix, presented by The Kincade Group, closing out the show on Sunday, May 21.

Furthering the comprehensive two-week schedule, Old Salem Farm is also proud to again present an Under 25 jumper division for riders making the transition into the grand prix ranks. The division gives young riders an opportunity to compete at Old Salem Farm before the prestigious Adequan® FEI North American Junior Children and Young Rider Championships, presented by Gotham North, call the location home from August 1 through 5, 2018. Also returning in 2018, a $5,000 Grooms' Class will honor the grooms of the horse show, and $5,000 leading hunter rider award will be presented.

Outside the ring, the Old Salem Farm double-decker VIP tent offers exhibitors and spectators the opportunity to enjoy the horse show in style with an unbeatable view of the Grand Prix Field and lavish catering. Old Salem Farm is also proud to offer visitors to the Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows dining options from the Clock Tower Grill pop-up restaurant and food truck, family-friendly activities including pony rides, face painting, and more, as well as shopping from equestrian, apparel, and lifestyle vendors.

The 2018 Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows will kick off May 6 with the popular Welcome Day, featuring hunter and jumper competition including the Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) classes, sponsored by the Malloy Family.
